SunGard Announces Integrated Energy Solution Suite

Entegrate™  to Help Clients Reduce Costs and Leverage Efficiencies Across the Enterprise

NEW YORK, October 20, 2003– SunGard Energy Systems, an operating group of SunGard (NYSE: SDS), announced today its strategy to provide a single integrated suite of energy solutions called Entegrate™ .  The Entegrate solution suite will comprise integrated modules called Entegrate Risk, Entegrate Power and Entegrate Gas that cover the front-to-back requirements of an energy company.  Entegrate Next Generation is a development platform designed for large energy companies to shorten their internal new-product, custom development and integration projects.

Entegrate will bring together functionality from several SunGard energy solutions onto a unified platform that is based on SunGard’s established and industry proven energy solution, Nucleus.  With Entegrate, energy companies will benefit from more comprehensive and tightly integrated commodity trading, risk management, scheduling and asset optimization technology.  The Entegrate solution will provide a smooth upgrade path for existing clients of SunGard Energy Systems looking to gain new and advanced functionality while maximizing their return on technology investment.
